Arsenal Agree Deal to Sign Brentford Captain Christian Norgaard

The Denmark international is under contract at Brentford until 2027, but the lure of Champions League football and the chance to join Mikel Arteta’s project at Arsenal proved decisive.

The move comes as Arsenal prepare for a midfield reshuffle. Thomas Partey is expected to leave the club when his contract expires next week, with reported interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia and across Europe. Jorginho has already departed for Flamengo, leaving a gap in Arsenal’s midfield that Norgaard is set to fill.

Manager Mikel Arteta has made strengthening the midfield a priority this summer, and Norgaard’s Premier League experience and leadership qualities are seen as vital assets as the Gunners look to build on last season’s progress.
