The new terms will see City earn approximately £100 million per year, overtaking Manchester United’s £900 million deal with Adidas as the most lucrative kit contract in English football. The deal encompasses all teams under the Manchester City umbrella—including the men’s, women’s, youth, and Elite Development squads.
“Our relationship with Puma has been a phenomenal success,” said Ferran Soriano, CEO of City Football Group. “We have achieved more than expected over the last six seasons, and today’s renewal and extension solidifies our relationship and projects it to an even brighter future.”
Puma originally signed on as City’s kit supplier in 2019 with a deal worth about £65 million annually. That partnership coincided with a dominating domestic run for the club, including four Premier League titles and one historic Treble-winning season. The meteoric on-pitch success has helped enhance the club’s commercial appeal, with Puma at the forefront of its global expansion.
Arthur Hoeld, CEO of Puma, described the new agreement as a strategic milestone. “This partnership is far more than supplying kits—it’s about driving innovation, sharing values, and growing together globally,” he said. “With City, we found a perfect match, and we look forward to pushing new boundaries over the next decade.”
In addition to financial backing, the deal aligns both brands on sustainability goals. Puma will continue designing Manchester City’s match and training gear using its RE:FIBRE platform, which creates garments entirely out of recycled materials.
Though Manchester City still trail global giants like Real Madrid and Manchester United in worldwide kit sales, analysts say this new agreement highlights Puma’s confidence in the club’s long-term growth—especially in global markets such as Asia and the U.S.
The £1 billion deal is expected to set a new benchmark for elite club sponsorship, raising the bar for future commercial agreements across European football.
