Tottenham forward Mohammed Kudus will be sidelined until April after suffering a serious thigh injury, Spurs boss Thomas Frank has confirmed.

Kudus suffers quad tendon blow

Kudus sustained the injury during Tottenham’s 1–1 draw with Sunderland, going down off the ball in the first half before being forced off.

Subsequent scans revealed damage to the quadriceps tendon, with Frank describing it as a “bigger” injury rather than a minor muscle issue.

Out until after March break

The Ghana international is not expected to return before the end of the March international window, ruling him out for roughly three months.

Spurs are hopeful Kudus can rejoin the squad in early April, in time for the Premier League run-in, if his rehabilitation progresses without setbacks.

Key man in debut Spurs season

Kudus has been a key figure for Tottenham this season, making 19 Premier League appearances and contributing two goals and five assists.

The 25-year-old only arrived last summer in a big-money move from West Ham, reported to be worth around £55m, heightening the impact of his absence.

Major setback for struggling Spurs

Tottenham, who sit in the bottom half after a poor run of form, lose one of their primary creative outlets and ball-carriers in the final third.

Frank is already contending with injuries to other key players, leaving Spurs’ attacking options stretched ahead of important league, FA Cup and Champions League fixtures.
