Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of Ghanaian forward Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United, landing one of the Premier League’s most exciting attacking talents ahead of the new season.

The 24-year-old has agreed to a six-year contract with Spurs, keeping him at the club until 2031. The transfer fee is reported to be £55 million, with Kudus set to wear the number 20 shirt in North London.

Kudus, who joined West Ham from Ajax in 2023, quickly established himself as a standout performer in the English top flight. In his debut season, he notched 8 goals and 9 assists in 33 league appearances, earning widespread praise for his dribbling ability and attacking flair. Over two seasons at the London Stadium, Kudus contributed to 22 Premier League goals and consistently ranked among the league’s top dribblers.

Tottenham’s new manager, Thomas Frank, identified Kudus as a priority signing to inject creativity and directness into the team’s attack. Known for his versatility, Kudus can operate across the front line and as an attacking midfielder, attributes that are expected to fit seamlessly into Frank’s tactical plans.

Sources close to the negotiations revealed that Kudus turned down interest from several other Premier League clubs, including Chelsea, to join Tottenham. While his release clause at West Ham was set at £85 million for domestic rivals, the Hammers agreed to a lower sum to facilitate the move.

Kudus’s arrival marks Tottenham’s first direct signing from West Ham in 14 years and is being hailed by fans and pundits as a statement of intent. The Ghana international will now link up with his new teammates as Spurs prepare for a campaign in which they hope to challenge for silverware and a return to Champions League football.

Tottenham supporters will be eager to see Kudus in action when the new Premier League season kicks off next month.
